This week we tried out a super-trendy functional beverage, as well as some new healthy grab-and-go snacks. Fueling your busy days got just easier.

Good Health Organic Black Bean & Rice Tortilla Chips

Made with wholesome ingredients like brown rice flour and black beans, plus carrots, broccoli and spinach snuck in, these organic, gluten-free, better-for-you chips make the perfect healthy snack. They’re delicious out of hand, crumbled on a taco salad, or dipped into your favorite guac. (Available in stores nationwide; $3.49 for 5 oz. bag)

Dirty Lemon

Instead of marketing its beverages by flavor, Dirty Lemon offers them by function. Skin + Hair, for example, has collagen peptides, red clover, cayenne and horsetail (don’t worry, it’s the name of an herb), ingredients purported to boost skin elasticity and hair growth. The Sleep formula includes magnesium, a natural relaxer, along with chamomile, lemon balm and other calming ingredients. Another plus: These 10-calorie, no-sugar-added beverages are easy to get via the company’s text-to-buy model. (Available online; $65 for 6)

Frontier Bites

Sometimes you want a crunchy, lightly sweet snack, but a whole energy bar is just too much of a commitment. Enter these little squares. They’re free of gluten, soy, dairy, and GMOs, and though they come in delicious flavors like Pecan-Cherry-Cinnamon and Pumpkin Seed-Apple-Vanilla Bean, they’re made with only 8 ingredients, all of which your grandma would recognize. Have a small handful, or just grab one or two to enjoy with a piece of fruit or to sprinkle on yogurt. (Available at stores nationwide or online; $15 for a 3-pack.)

Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP

Angie's Popcorn

Popcorn should be a pretty simple choice, since it’s a whole grain and naturally gluten free. But since so many brands are made with GMO corn, and use flavorings made with gluten, even popcorn can be a minefield for the healthy snacker. That’s why we love Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP Sea Salt Popcorn—it’s certified gluten-free, non-GMO verified and uses ingredients you recognize. Plus, they just released some amazing new flavor combos like cheddar cheese popcorn and milk chocolaty peanut butter flavored kettle corn. Wait, where did we put that bag…? (Available at stores nationwide or online; $23.94 for a 6-pack.)

Peeled Snacks Peas Please

Peas Please is a crunchy snack made from organic whole green pea flour and organic brown rice flour. With 1/2 cup vegetable per serving, Peas Please satisfies the crunch craving much more nutritiously than most things in the chip aisle. Plus, since each serving of Peas Please has 5g protein and 4g fiber, you won’t be rooting around the vending machine after eating them. (Available at stores nationwide or online; $32.88 for a 12-pack.)
