Nothing beats waking up on a cold winter morning to a warm, cozy breakfast. While we love classics such as a hearty bowl of overnights oats or a stack of whole-wheat pancakes, we’re all for mixing up our breakfast game. Few know how to do this better than Instagram foodies, who dish out creative recipes to start the day off on a sweet (or savory) note. Here are 12 of our favorite Insta winter breakfast recipes that we go to bed dreaming about—and scramble out of bed to eat!
SWEET POTATO TOASTS
As beautiful to look at as it is tasty to eat, this breakfast will make you question why you never used sliced sweet potato for toast before.
sweet potato toasts three ways! to make, bake whole sweet potatoes in oven at 400F for 40-45 mins. Once ready, chill & cut lengthwise. toast them up in a pan. Pick toppings to your taste from savory to sweet. i topped one with @wild_friends pumpkin spice PB, bananas, crumbled PB @perfectbar; the 2nd is topped with @siggisdairy vanilla yogurt, strawberries, blueberries and @salbachia seeds. (fewer strawberries for the last one) have a great day!!
COCONUT CHIA PUDDING
Nothing beats having breakfast ready when you wake up, especially one this drool-worthy.
Coconut chia pudding to start the day 🙌🏻🙌🏻 DO IT: 15oz @juiceservedhere coconut water + coconut milk, 1/2 cup @salbachia chia seeds, and 3 tablespoons of your favorite sweetener (I used @wholesomesweet agave but honey or maple syrup works). Shake it up in a mason jar and let it sit overnight 😴🌙 Then, top with your favorite berries and crunchies in the morning! Happy Tuesday, babes!! 😘😘

After seeing this recipe we think teff is going to get a permanent place in our porridge and our pantry.
Woke up to a snowy Vancouver this morning – which is so unusual! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend ❤☃️ // Cinnamon + blueberry white teff porridge with banana, blackstrap molasses, cashew butter, chia seeds + pecans for a creamy and nutrient-dense breakfast! I rarely cook teff but I think I will do so more often – one serving has 7g of complete protein and provides approximately 20% and 16% of your daily iron and fiber needs, respectively. 1 Tbsp of molasses also provides 15% of your iron making it a great alternative to your usual sweetener. For anyone who is looking to get a bit more iron from plant sources this breakfast would be a great option 💪🏼
CAULIFLOWER AND KALE EGG CUPS
Who said veggies don’t belong in your breakfast? These grab-and-go egg cups make getting in your greens easy.
Cauliflower & Kale Egg Cups 🍳🌿🍳🌿 I'm always looking for something to snack on and got inspired by @balancewithb so I whipped these up using last nights leftovers👌🏼👌🏼 Makes 7: whisk together 8 eggs, 2 cups of chopped kale, 1 cup of roasted cauliflower (chopped), 1/2 cup roasted zucchini, 1/2 a chopped jalapeño pepper, 1/4 chopped white onion. Spice with salt, black pepper, cumin, and minced garlic. Pour into a greased muffin tin and bake on 350 for about 25-30 minutes.
