Coming soon to Chelsea: Foragers City Market… the restaurant.

The market opened at its original location in DUMBO, Brooklyn six years ago with a mission to bring people the freshest, cleanest food possible. Recently, Foragers opened a new market and wine store in Chelsea, and a new full-service restaurant is slated to open next door in a couple of weeks.

In keeping with the market’s local and seasonal roots, the farm-to-table restaurant will feature 100 percent hormone- and antibiotic-free meats and almost 100 percent organic produce, with fresh, seasonal produce foraged from upstate New York.

The menu will feature American dishes with an Asian flair; additional details aren’t yet available, but I can’t wait to see what this mindfully sourced restaurant will be serving up in a full-service setting. Until then, you can find me getting take-out from the Chelsea market for lunch, or from the DUMBO market come dinnertime.

Visit the new Chelsea location at 300 West 22nd Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues).
