It wasn’t that long ago that you had to head to the hippest coffee spot in town to find fancy lattes with turmeric, adaptogenic mushrooms and other health-boosting ingredients. And if you wanted a non-dairy milk, well, that would cost you extra.

Not anymore. Now you can have your golden milk, your matcha latte, your upgraded hot cacao, and more—and they come in pouches and even individual packets, so you can enjoy them wherever you are, whenever you like. Read on for some of our faves.

Note: These superfood lattes don’t have coffee (though some, made with tea, do have a bit of caffeine). If joe is more your speed, check out these upgraded instant coffees.

Four Sigmatic Golden Latte with Shiitake & Turmeric

Turmeric has been enjoying the spotlight for a while now—and no wonder, given its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant superpowers. Four Sigmatic combines it with its signature mushrooms—in this case, beauty-boosting shiitakes—plus calming tulsi and zingy ginger, to offer a lightly sweet, dairy free take on golden milk. It even has a touch of black pepper, which makes turmeric way more bioavailable. Just add water, or blend in coconut oil or ghee to make this drink even creamier. Also try the brand’s Chai Latte with Turkey Tail & Reishi, and Mushroom Matcha Latte with Maitake.

Strong Coffee Company Matcha Latte

There’s no shortage of matcha latte offerings on the market, but what sets Strong Coffee apart is that it has MCT oil powder and grass-fed collagen included, so you get protein and healthy fats along with a nice little bump from the caffeine in the matcha. There’s also L-Theanine in these packets, an amino acid that can keep the jitters away and boost concentration and memory. Plus, it has just the right touch of sweetness to cut matcha’s grassiness.

Navitas Cacao Latte

Step away from the Swiss Miss—your hot cocoa just grew up and got some wellness cred. Navitas combines its luscious cacao powder with adaptogenic maca, fat-burning MCT-containing coconut oil powder for creaminess, monkfruit and coconut sugar for sweetness and a touch of warming cinnamon. It’s dairy free, vegan and paleo-friendly too, a real crowd-pleaser. Try Navitas’ Turmeric Latte and Matcha Latte, too.

Organic Traditions Beet Latte with Fermented Beets and Probiotics

I love beets—but even I was a little weirded out by the idea of a beet latte… until I tried it. The dirt flavor of beets is mellowed in this bright-pink drink thanks to organic coconut milk powder and a bit of coconut palm sugar. It’s not sweet, just earthy, and so satisfying—perfect for that 4 p.m. slump. It’s also a gut-health helper, since some of the beet powder in here is fermented and it has probiotics, too.

Laird Instafuel Matcha

If you’ve tried the Laird Superfood Creamer in your coffee, you know this dairy- and soy-free creamer is luscious and also mineral-rich, thanks to seaweed-derived supplement Aquamin. The brand combined their creamer with carefully sourced matcha and several coconut goodies: water, oil, milk powder and sugar, to be exact.
$14 for an 8-serving pouch
