Forget everyone else—gift yourself this fast no-bake energy-charging treat: Mix together antioxidant-rich dark chocolate, beta carotene-loaded pumpkin, immune-boosting raw honey, protein-packed organic nut butter, and fiber-rich oats; roll into bite-sized balls, and freeze for just an hour.

These delicious and filling balls—also perfect for a mid-morning snack—are a modern take on the holiday cookie. After you watch this one-minute video, get out your mixing bowl and spatula and go—we know you won’t be able to eat just one.

Chocolate, Pumpkin and Peanut Butter Energy Balls

  • ¾ cup canned pure pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • ¾ cup organic peanut butter or any other organic nut butter
  • ¼ cup raw honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup mini bittersweet or dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate


  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin purée, peanut butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt and stir until completely blended. Add the rolled oats and chocolate and stir to incorporate.
  2. Using your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the parchment–lined baking sheet. Freeze the balls for 1 hour then transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate up to 1 week.
